Flipboard for Windows 8 Available Now; WP8 Hopefully Not Too Far Behind

Screenshot.257176.1000001One of the big name apps mentioned to come to the Windows Phone and Windows marketplace at Nokia World was Flipboard. For those who don’t know Flipboard is a beautiful app that arranges your RSS feeds and subscribed sites into a nice clean magazine-like layout. The app itself was the first thing I downloaded on my iPad and is definitely one of the cleanest, most useful apps out there. Today it was released for Windows 8 (meaning it’ll be ready for the Lumia 2520 on launch day), hopefully it” also be available for WP8 devices soon, as porting it over shouldn’t be too difficult (although of course this type of app works best on large screened devices, but the Lumia 1520 would work too).

The app utilizes little boxes on your screen to display your feed, something that fits in perfectly with the metro layout ow Windows 8; making the app a perfect fit for the OSes design language. Here’s a quick intro video to Flipboard on Windows 8:
