Video: Nokia 808 PureView vs Sony QX100Q vs Nokia Lumia 1020

pvc marcMarc from the PureView club has worked with Harsh Verma for their capture and analysis of the following comparison. Nokia’s big guns, the 808 PureView and Lumia 1020 against Sony’s strap-on cameras.

Steve Litchfield also compared another QX against the 1020 here. Unlike the previous where the Sony had the smaller sensor in comparison to the 1020, this one has a larger sensor, even compared to the 808. But in their findings, the 1020 is found to preserve the most details.

While having the smallest sensor and pixel size, the Lumia 1020 preserves most details than these due to RAW. Images are pure. The lens takes bright photos. Though it exhibits some noise, but it’s of a very fine type. And when you oversample it to 5MP, it’s almost negligible.

On top of that, there’s the unpractical nature of this kind of device.
