This is the Nokia DC-50, the portable wireless charging plate. Thanks again to the local Nokia Music team and the dude that does the music for this :).

In the box you get:

  • Portable wireless charging plate
  • DC-50
  • USB Charger (this one is AC-60 but you’ll get your country variant perhaps)
  • Charging and data cable (micro USB)
  • User guide

The surfaces have a grippy texture to them.

Sides are glossy.Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2842 Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2844

At the bottom you have the charging indicator LEDs to tell you how much juice you have left. The button to initiate the indicator and the microUSB port. I find this much better than the QI charging pins as it means I can plug this in anywhere. BTW, you can use the plate as a plugged in wireless charging plate though that might not be the best action for battery maintenance.Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2845 Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2846

The other short side has another LED to tell you when the wireless charger is activated. Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2847 Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2848 Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2851 Nokia DC-50 portable wireless chargerIMG_2855

You can charge it up by cable or put it on another wireless charger to charge up. Also whilst it is charging by either method, you can charge another device. A bit of a wirelesschargerception.

There was an issue again with Nokia Camera on the 1520 with stuttering audio. Default camera app seems to work fine.  Youtube is just refusing to process that video this time. :/.
