A private beta of Whatsapp recently got an update and brings with it some neat features. This includes some custom backgrounds for your messages and also some privacy controls, detailing who can see when you were last online, your profile photo and status. At the moment, anyone that has your number can pretty much see those details. But you can specifically set to your contacts, so randomers hopefully won’t be able to see that.
Also already in the beta include media auto download and custom notification sounds.
