Previously, Delta upgraded their older devices to Nokia Lumia 820s. Now they’re making another switch to the beastly Nokia Lumia 1520, a fierce flagship of 6″.

That’s 20,000 more Nokia Lumia 1520s soaring in the skies with Delta.

It reduces the need for a 500 page manual that weighs 5 lbs (saving more than 1m USD annually in fuel/printing costs) whilst being more intuitive for staff to access.

These can also help the flight attendants take meal orders as well as,

“ receive detailed information about their flight and provide information for personalized service, including customers’ frequent flyer status and potential need for special services during flight”

This begins in October and was developed by Microsoft, Avanade, Nokia and AT&T.
