This is Nokia’s new take on images – Living Images. A little bit like cinemagraph but shorter and autoplayed. It makes it feel much more like a static image with a twist rather than an animated .gif or a sound free video.

Being a picture, you get to zoom into the image. What’s even better is it doesn’t seem to need a special mode, it’s supposedly “ integrated into every picture you take and view.”

Pictures taken in Cinemagraph and Nokia Refocus also appears as a living image in your camera roll (as per previous rumours on gallery update). No need to launch separate apps to view them.

This feature will be ‘brought to selected in-market devices during the next few months’.
