Even though Nokia is now technically Microsoft Mobile it seems (as we heard before) that we will continue to see some Nokia branded mobile phones for some time to come. Confirmed by the Nokia twitter account today they mentioned that for “some-time” Nokia branded Lumias, Ashas and X’s will bear those marvelous five letters on their boxes and cases.

Elop aslo announced that the contreversion X line, of Android Nokias would also live on under the new overlords:

“committed to continuing our support for feature phones, the Asha family, and the Nokia X family of devices, announced at the Mobile World Congress in February.”

Once again furthering my own belief that as long as the same people who made Nokia’s amazing phones continue to be part of the team; we can expect some awesome things; but it’s a nice fan pleaser to keep the branding alive. Also let’s not forgot that Nokia have a roadmap for the next 2-3 years already planned  since before the acquisition even started, so no matter what it says on the front of the device; chances are the same dedicated Nokia designers, and magic makers helped build it.
