UK police in Cambridgeshire upgrades to 8000 WP8.1 Nokia Lumias to replace 4000 crumbling BlackBerry Devices

Screen Shot 2014-06-05 at 17.05.41The Cambridgeshire Constabulary says that their 4000 BlackBerry devices are crumbling around them. As such, their best enterprise solution is to go with WP8.1. With new encryption, VPN and universal apps to use either on the desktop on the phone, Nokia Lumia WP8.1 devices are enterprise ready.

8000 new devices will become available including the new Nokia Lumia 930 for executives, 1520 for those on patrol and 635 for ‘staff’.
