Reddit user, kertong, wasn’t a fan of the yellow colour on his Nokia Lumia 1020. So he changed it with a housing he bought  along with matching SIM tray.

Apparently it wasn’t all that difficult and gives the 1020 a “serviceability rating” of 9/10

the hardest part was prying the screen out of the body without marking/scratching the body or the glass. Once that was done, as long as you are careful popping the flex ribbons off, everything was very straightforward and simple.

Not bad. Of course this voids your warranty. Approach with care if you must try this. Do not try at home if you don’t know what you’re doing.

If you do, it just means you can either switch to a new fresh one of the same colour (perhaps some scrapes along the way has tarnished the look of your 1020)Screen Shot 2014-09-01 at 08.49.23The OP was a pretty cool guy. Someone asked to buy the yellow housing as they had the black one. He’s gonna give it away provided the other person sorts out the shipping.
