Microsoft has taken to IFA to announce the Lumia 830. Chris Webber, VP of Sales for Microsoft Devices, said Microsoft was “challenging Apple and Samsung” to show that premium flagship devices could be affordable. Coming in Dark Grey, Orange, Green and White, the Lumia 830 comes with the latest Lumia Denim software update.

The Lumia 830 comes with a 10MP PureView module with the thinnest OIS module yet, allowing for the 830 to be the “thinnest and lightest design yet”. With a quick comparison to the iPhone 5S, you can see how great the module is at low-light. Webber mentioned they did a comparison with the Samsung Galaxy S5, yet it was “worse than the iPhone” and “didn’t think it was worth the powerpoint space”.

Powered by a 2220mAh battery supporting built-in Qi wireless charging and a removable back, the Lumia 830 will be priced at 330 Euros, coming later this month.
