Skype for Business replacing Lync

This means Skype gets enterprise security, compliance, and control from Lync.

In the first half of 2015, Lync will become Skype for Business.

The new client will look like this:

Skype for business keeps and improves all the capabilities of Lync such as content sharing and telephony, with one call actions taking one click versus three (why it took three in the first place).
