Screen Shot 2014-12-10 at 16.50.59We were asked by the team behind Perfect Shift to share some news about their new app. Here’s the press release below.

It looks like a stunning game (and only 140MB? Is there more do download after?). It’s free and it seems to be a 5 star hit after 500 reviews at the store.

Games development studio, Lextre, has today announced the global launch of Perfect Shift, the visually stunning drag racing game. Available exclusively for Windows Phone, the game has been designed to deliver a slick, authentic and high quality drag racing experience for any device running Windows Phone 8 or higher.

With over 25 different cars to choose from, players are challenged to race in a fully immersive environment with realistic 3D graphics and an excellent soundtrack. The aim of the game is to win races by changing up at the right time to achieve the ‘perfect shift’ and beat opponents by crossingthe finish line first. Players follow a central storyline which takes them through different levels and races in a range of interesting and unique settings – from abandoned tunnels to dark industrial areas and city streets. As players progress throughout the game, they face increasingly more challenging opponents and exhilarating race scenarios.

Perfect Shift is free to download and has been designed to run across as many Windows Phone devices possible, so that even players with less powerful devices can enjoy the game to full effect.  Players can customise their car to make it stand out, and can tune it to improve performance on the strip – by purchasing better tires, gearboxes and engines, or making strategic aerodynamic tweaks.

Victoria Pavlova, CEO of Lextre, commented: “Too many games are just re-skinned for Windows Phone, which means that quality suffers and they don’t run well on all devices. That’s why we invested time developing our own 3D engine for Windows Phone, which ensures that Perfect Shift brings the best performance and graphics to players so that people can enjoy the thrill of the race on any device.”

Cheers Andrew for the tip!
