Weekend Read: Microsoft acknowledges user frustrations; will explain future of Windows Phone before Chinese New Year 2015

What’s happening regarding Windows Phone’s Future, aka Windows 10 on phones? No explicit details have been officially confirmed; only a few tiny snippets here and there in leaks.

Over on Weibo, Beliore has supposedly shared a message that outlines the following:

  • Thanking users for their continued support
  • acknowledgement of frustrations regarding launching iOS/Android versions of Office without any corresponding news for WP.
  • Office ‘hasn’t’ forgotten WP, they’re just “aligning news and announcements to a single event”.
  • This single event is the one before Chinese New Year (Feb 19) so likely the January 21 showing of more consumer Windows 10 features.

Cheers Alvester for the tip!
