Hi Nokia! First double tap to wake, now LG also has “Glance View”?

Tom Warren tweeted this image – Glance View…from LG. Erm what?

Well, they might as well add it to the double tap to wake that they’ve got from Nokia too. Although I do like the added double tap lock.

Moto X also has some sort of always on screen now.

I really miss having this feature on note 4. It’s always nice to see my 1520 tell me my notifications and calendar appointments without me having to press anything, literally just taking a glance at it.

TheVerge description says that it’s a “gesture”, so I’m not sure if it is always on.

Oh, and if you’re wondering what Glance View is, it’s a swipe-down gesture on the lock screen that only turns on a part of the OLED display to show you notifications and the time and date.

I think LG has always on screen options with the LG G-watch R (Out of all the smart watches that’s the one I like the most from 2014). If I’m going to touch something, you might as well turn the whole screen on and show me a bunch of other stuff. Otherwise, the implementation on Lumia is the most superior at the moment.
