Lumia Voices got in touch with us and asked if we wanted to check out the Lumia 640 XL. Cheers folks! Due to finals I’ve been mega busy with doing this kind of thing and now that’s all done with, I’m gonna try and slowly get back to the pace of things.

I’ve got a video but the upload speed at my new place is horrendous so that might be delayed. It isn’t anything you haven’t seen before. I attached the tripod to by shirt so I can use two hands. I thought it turned out surprisingly alright as the camera moves with me. (I would have used my tripod but it snapped at graduation :/…grrr giottos).

Enough rambling. The box you can see is standard of newer lumias.

Nothing really mentioned in the box.

It looks nice and clean in this packaging.Lumia 640 XLIMG_2777MNB

I don’t know why but it was bigger than I thought it would be, face wise. Looking at just the screen, even though it’s the same size as my Note 4, it oddly looks bigger. Possibly just due to Windows Phone being a bit more friendly with the text sizes and UI? Physically it’s smaller than the 1520 but larger than Note 4.

Pamphlets. No headphones. At least not in my box.

That extra few mm on the width does mean it’s more of a two handed device.

5MP Front facing. No buttons on the face, as there are virtual ones when the phone is on.Lumia 640 XLIMG_2783MNB

13MP Carl Zeiss Camera with single LED flash. Lumia 640 XLIMG_2790MNB

Usual lock/power and volume rocker. No camera button.

Nothing on the left side.Lumia 640 XLIMG_2793MNB

MicroUSB port at the bottom. (3000mAh battery inside btw)Lumia 640 XLIMG_2794MNB

WindowsPhone 8.1 inside.Lumia 640 XLIMG_2795MNB

It’ll be nice just to use Windows Phone 8.1 again. I’ve got W10M on the 1520 and whilst it’s awesome there are some obvious buggy parts.
