Nokia 6 Launch Party Photos – follow at weibo.com/microsoftlumia (yup)

| January 11, 2017 | 1 Reply

Yesterday we echoed what a few of our readers were wondering about the Nokia 6. We knew it was a China exclusive but still, it would have been nice to at least have the Nokia 6 acknowledged, e.g. twitter, facebook, youtube. Maybe this was done on our behalf to reduce the angst?

Carol Chen, community developer at Redhat but with a strong history with Nokia related things (Jolla/Maemo) tweets what a few of our readers have mentioned that they are tweeting via their SinaWeibo account – though as also pointed out, from their Microsoft Lumia account.

Maybe it’s a little bit more difficult to change usernames?

Nice to see the photos there of the launch

People with faces holding the Nokia 6 (and not just random hands)

Here they are recreating the hands on the packaging. That’s HMD CEO, Mr Nummela

We’re also told that HMD account in china is also promoting the Nokia 6.

Cheers Carol for the tip!

yeah turns out that you can only set the “personalized URL” once on Weibo, and after setting it can’t be changed. you can however easily change the nickname, the one you @ people with. right now they have it as 诺基亚手机 (Nokia Phones). I guess that’s the more important one in daily usage.
