CultofMac: Nokia Lumia 900 – the best phone that isn’t iPhone, worthy, A-Class competitor (Android B-minus)..

Major Apple fans at the CultOfMac proclaimed the Nokia Lumia 900 as the best phone that isn’t the iPhone. Considering that in their eyes the iPhone is the best thing since being born, it’s quite a high praise. To them, the Lumia 900 is the worthy competitor to their device.

In their article, you do get a sense of feeling it’s perhaps some genuine admiration for the principles instilled in the Lumia 900 but also because there’s a lot of loathing going on for the ‘iOS clone’, Android. The Lumia 900 goes a different path, and I think it’s more the fact that it’s not copying iPhone (Samsung Galaxy S?) more than anything.

The build and design are obvious strong parts. They like that the phone is unique. That they have focused first and foremost not in showing off on paper but by delivering a brilliant user experience of high end design and smooth, fast, capable OS. They say Nokia with Lumia’s are A players to go along with iPhone. Android are apparently B- players. Lumia series to CultofMac is the worthy competitor for taking chances and trying to ‘think different’ :p. Cult of Mac says Nokia are back in the game and are very excited to see how this pans out.

It’s high praise indeed from Mac/Apple/iPhone fans. Great design, build and usability are the hardest things to come across on paper but they’re quite important to some people. Whilst there may be other WP manufacturers, none really try and push the boat out for that complete premium experience.

Cheers Kevin for the tip!
