Nokia and tech giants talk on ending patent wars (+MS sues Google directly?)
HuffPo reports that Nokia, along with MS, Sammy, Google, Apple, Orange, Panasonic, Phillips, RIM and Qualcomm (and possible others) are meeting to sort the kerfuffle of Patents. Whether they hinder or promote innovation, there are several issues around the patent system that needs resolving.
The discussions will apparently focus on:
reducing the tensions between the standard, patent and competition law systems
