Multiple Sources Pointing at January 31st For Global WP 7.8 Rollout
Although a lucky few got an early release of Windows Phone 7.8 on what later turned out to be “developer devices”; unfortunately both Nokia and Microsoft haven’t been very forthcoming with the details of the rollout (as usual). Thankfully though other sources have been more helpful in providing a date for the update; which is most probably January 31st if they’re to be believed.
First we have O2 in the UK who confirmed the rollout to happen “before the end of January”
@radiointheuk Hi there, the 7.8 Windows Phone update will be released by the end of January and will be available via Zune.

Then Telstra in Australia who listed the update coming to the Lumia 800 asÂ
Nokia Lumia 800 –Windows Phone 7.8 update– First round testing– 31/01/2013
Then the official Facebook page of Windows Phone Columbia listed the same date once again:
“As of January 31 and during the first quarter of 2013 some phones with Windows Phone 7.5 will be receiving 7.8 update… Happy weekend.†(Translated by Bing)
Hopefully we’ll all get it sooner than later; perhaps even  portico rollout alongside it? Since Nokia said it would be available BY February?
