Screen Shot 2013-02-01 at 09.34.42We received this email the other day about a new Nokia twitter account, @NokiaatWork

Hi Jay,

We are getting in touch with a selection of people in the Nokia community to tell you about a new Twitter channel launched recently: @NokiaAtWork.

The channel is all about how to get the most from using Lumia in your work life.

We are keen to know how you guys use Lumia to be more productive – whether you’re a student or the CEO or a major corporation, we want to share your tips & tricks on getting the most from your phones: from how you manage your calendars, contacts, email – right up to how you use Office, Skydrive and anything else that makes your work life more productive.

Come say hello to the Nokia@Work team!

Thanks, and if you have any questions please do ask away!

Regards,

Joe

How does your 920 fit in your “work”? My homescreen has a few of my different email account set up. A main one, a side one for e-receipts, and the university one. The calendar as standard has been syncing with Uni events, so I know where I’m supposed to be. I’ve got a to do list called “clearer” on the same screen that shows me how many tasks I’ve got left to do (and optionally it can show on the tile what those tasks are). Nokia Drive is a must whenever I’m being sent on placement to new and different locations I’ve never been to. In terms of blog work, Rooms and integrated messenger have been pretty useful. Integrated chat has surprised me in its usefulness. Never really used it before on 800/900 but I like how it just sends me facebook messages as if they were texts (which I can reply to in the same fashion or by text if they’re offline). I do love SkyDrive. Skydrive on PC, Mac, iPod, Lumia. Whereever I am, I have the SkyDrive files with me. I also love the automatic upload to SkyDrive feature as I don’t have to think about backing up my pictures and videos. (It’s funny that it sometimes uploads so quickly, you might delete a picture after taking it but it’s already online). I often have to make copies of written notes, or get pages from textbooks by taking a picture of them so it’s nice that they just end up on my computer without me having to manually put it on my computer.
