Advertisements Click here to skip to the bottom if you want to get straight to the juicy bits. In short – I was shown on a real N8, NFS and Sims 3 which looked miles better than the video clips we saw in the video trailer. Thanks to @WOMWorldNokia for taking me to Open Mobile […]

What can you see in the photo below? Yesterday afternoon, I sat down in the lounge to get away from the bright lights and rest my irritated eye (think contact may have gotten scratched). Anyway, half blind, out of the corner of my eye I saw a shiny green anodized aluminium device I’ve been fawning […]

This caught my eye during coffee break. Apparently it’s only just been released. Sneak peak of a later upload of EA games titles coming to Nokia devices: SIMS 3. It’s not the crappy Symbian^1 version, it’s in proper 3D.

Apparently the finestfones peeps have performed some benchmark tests on the N8 and claim “N8’s ‘phone speed’ is almost 100% greater than the Omnia HD and 350% greater than the N97” Well, with the N8 at 857 (acceleration ON) and N97 at 249 and i8910 at 452… …that makes the N8….244% faster than N97 and […]

Here’s an electric blue Nokia N8 resting on an orange/red N8, uploaded by Nokia Engineer, Carol Chen. I really like this blue for some reason. Maybe due to the rarity of live photos. Also the seams are slightly more flush. I suspect the colours look a little different again without that flash. Note the normal […]

Stunning live photos of Orange (Red?) Nokia N8 – "most impressive pre-production hardware we’ve seen"

SlashGear got some playtime with the Nokia N8 (orange though it looks RED here). It looks absolutely stunning and in terms of build, SG says, “it’s some of the most impressive pre-production hardware we’ve seen…..We had our doubts initially about the bright orange color scheme, but in the metal it’s far more attractive than in […]

Slighly revamped Portrait QWERTY on Nokia N8?

For landscape typing, QWERTY is the way to go, be it in physical keys or virtual keyboard. When typing in portrait, and especially with one hand, I prefer the traditional T9 style as S60 5th edition portrait QWERTYs are somewhat on the terrible side (so small you need to use a stylus/plectrum!). @macintosh (via blog-n8) […]

Nokia N8 Review (with tons of screenshots).

| May 17, 2010 | Reply

Want some more N8 news? There’s a huge first impressions review from ifanr.com. An important note they do make is that you shouldn’t take this as a review of the final product as (fortunately/unfortunately) we have quite some time to wait until it actually hits the shelves. Note though, that the review is originally in […]
