HD Videos: Nokia N8 Sample videos – low light and outdoors 720p
Here are some sample videos from the Nokia N8 uploaded by silverato3428 – The first three supposedly in low light, and the fourth outdoors. Be sure to click the 720p HD version.
I’m curious to know how the N8 is able to resolve that text. It seems a little too clear for fixed focus video and have something that close be in focus, whilst objects further away are still close.

- The colour looks great, the frame rate looks smooth.
- The N8 is also able to quickly adjust to different brightness levels.
- Panning looks rather smooth too. Normally, movement of the phone would cause a somewhat jelly like distortion.

is it just me or do all these real world n8 recording samples not look up to par with that nokia sample video of that guy dancing on the rooftop
actually i just rewatched that nokia video i guess it was ‘just me’
DUDE! The last video is a total FAKE! I think someone posted an article with that video a couple months ago and we all knew it was fake! N8 does NOT have optical zoom. That video is prolly taken by a really good Sony or some canon point and shoot!
As for the other low light videos, I really hope Nokia improves the quality a bit more coz I see lots of grain in dark areas. I hope they utilize the sensor fully to achieve the best possible quality in low lighting.

Cheers Kieth, I went away, rewatched the video and wondered how come there are out of focus blurs in some places, when N8 has fixed focus so everything to infinity (from 60cm?) should be focused.

Does anyone know the real battery life on an N8 yet? My N82 lasts all day and then some, yet my Evo has to be charged twice with the same usage. I hope we can get some real world battery life test soon.
Samsung Captivate aka Galaxy S has a fixed focus as well but you can easily read the icons on your phone from less than a 10″ away AND it can still let you see things in the distance. It is possible.
Can anyone tell me when N8 will launch in India and what will be price for this mobile?
