Wow! Nokia N8 Rockchip Dual Core ARM 9 with Android 2.1 and 800X480 display. More than your ordinary China clone!

Last month we saw a Nokia N8 Clone sporting an Android Clone UI. Not really Android, just a skin that made it appear to look like Android.

Well, back in August a picture of a Nokia N8 Clone was found, complete with Android 2.1 and Android buttons.

More details surface from Yesky that says this is a dual core ARM 9?!

  • Alloy Case
  • 3.5″ Resistive (bright and clear)
  • 800×480
  • Android 2.1 with back, menu, home page, search buttons
  • 115 × 60 × 14mm (real N8 113.5 x 59 x 12.9 mm)
  • Rockchip ARM 9 (Not A9!) Dual Core 600MHz + DSP 500MHz (Real Nokia N8 ARM 11, 680MHz with Broadcom GPU)
  • Smooth 720p playback apparently
  • 128MB RAM << erm what?
  • 256MB ROM
  • 5.0 MP Camera Dual LED
  • Headphone Jack
  • MicroSD up to 32GB
  • WiFi
  • A-GPS
  • Gravity-sensor
  • Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR with A2DP stereo headset profiles
  • 1400mAh battery, good for 2 days use supposedly (not sure if it’s replaceable)

Well, that’s not your typical knock off bargain basement dual-SIM fanfare that we’re used to. Not sure what the price is.

Here’s stock Android 2.1 (Eclair). Might even get the new Gingerbread update before X10, who knows.

Apart from the 5MP at the back it’s a very faithful rendition of the Nokia N8 design, complete with screws. Possibly sealed battery too?

There’s a little stub on the top of this clone N8

The camera of course is no where near original N8 and not even a patch on Nokia’s older 5MP or even 2mp cameras in good lighting.
