Here’s a 9 minute video of PR2.0 on the Nokia C7. A few folks out there started downloading PR2.0 for C7 after it appeared on Navifirm (though for the T-Mobile US variant so was quite risky).

Changelog available here.

Gra92 from Daily Mobile (cheers to Adnan for tip) to show it in action:

  • Draggable homescreen – seen before. Note how it follows the thumb and not like before where it looked like it was delayed (unfortunately, it was designed that way and NOT a limitation of Symbian). New wallpaper fades in as opposed to sliding/remaining constant.
  • Smoother scrolling – demoed in email. Hopefully it’s not just smooth because there aren’t that many emails.
  • “New” browser still looks soooo slow. The scrolling is so choppy on wikipedia. Seemed ok on daily mobile. It should be smooth everywhere.
  • Embed flash – not new, but I do miss it using on Windows Phone. I’ve got the YouTube app but that does not open up embed youtube vids. Quite stupid really. I may be using it wrong. Fortunately this year with No wifi/crappy signal, I haven’t been able to watch flash on any of my phones.
  • Split screen keyboard (seen before)
  • NFC in settings (only recently found out from changelog) Not sure if the guy doing the video noticed it.
  • That load spin thing when opening apps is terrible. Better than having blank but that’s not the animation I’d hoped for when loading. We need something that’s distracting and doesn’t seem like a load screen. Even a progress bar is better than a spinning wheel.
