Following on the early accidental upload notification of the X7/E6 on Nokia’s YouTube account, here we have a hands on sneak peek of the Nokia X7 which is coming soon to Three UK. Note, the X7 still hasn’t been announced yet by Nokia. It might be announced on Tuesday. It’s funny that Three have said they’re getting a handset Nokia hasn’t even said is official.

  • CBD confirmed on 4″ AMOLED display
  • Updated Symbian UI (ish) Not the “NEW NEW” UI, but PR2.0 new. Apparently “all about Speed”. Would be nice if there was somehow improved hardware – not jut software optimizations.
  • Like the Nokia Astound, we get the newer draggable homescreen (with lighter widget boxes that look more modern).
  • Looks really slim.
  • X7 already leaked coming to Three before (which notified of the autofocus and not fixed focus camera before like all other S^3 except N8)
  • New browser. “3x faster than the OLD symbian browser”. Hmmm…that’s like saying 3x faster than the snail.
  • Pretty good outdoor sunlight visibility (very, very sunny, look at Brendan squinting his eyes) as expected from CBD AMOLED.

QWERTY looks better. I think we’ve seen something like this before. Theme dependent keyboard appearance. I much prefer this to the tiny looking keys. Also being 4″ it will be much easier to type in portrait.

Brendan has said before that Amazing stuff was coming to Symbian. I hope this is NOT it and that he may have seen some new handsets/New summer update preview. X7 – Cool, but not amazing.

Is it autofocus? or EDoF?

Cheers @geekifyNokia for the heads up

update: as of 6pm GMT the video is now private. Ha, seems like it wasn’t meant to go up this early either.
