Video: 4squick – The Symbian^3 Foursquare app you’ve been missing #Qt

Are you a FourSquare user? Do you like to check in to places to tell the world where you are? Do you have a Symbian^3 handset?

Well you might just like this super slick FourSquare app called FourSquick. Look at the curvy corners of this app, it’s very MeeGo Harmattan (or WebOS) which I find quite pleasing.  It uses Google Maps (not Ovi/Navteq maps). Looks great, and seems to be pretty smooth.

Download 4squick version 0.650

This is an early preview version of 4squick and the feature set is limited. Basically you are able to check-in to places, see who’s there, lookup nearby places and see some stats. Browsing/adding friends, tips/todos etc are still missing.

We’re constantly building new functionality and will be releasing new versions during the upcoming months.

So far we’ve installed and ran 4squick successfully with the following Symbian^3 devices: Nokia N8, C7, E7, C6 and E6 (Anna!) so changes are that it’ll work on yours.

Why not give it a try and do comment back whether you like 4squick or not. What is the feature you miss the most? What are the best things about it?

There are some known issues, check out the developers page for information on such things as possible SmartInstaller issues

Cheers for the tip, Peter.
