Flickr Apps at Ovi Store! FlickrPix Free for Symbian, QuickFlickr for N9 MeeGo-Harmattan!

| September 7, 2011 | 6 Replies

Searching for Flickr on Ovi Store came up with 24 results, none really providing proper flickr functionality. That’s a shame since Flickr is THE place for photo sharing, a world top 40 site says Alexa.

For Symbian fans, Camb078 from has found an app you guys will definitely want to try out, called FlickrPix. It’s FREE at Ovi Store.

Cambo says it’s very friendly to use, allowing you to manage your flickr account, upload pictures, navigate pictures and comment.

FlickrPix is an elegant and full-featured Flickr client for your Nokia smart phones. It allows you to shoot pictures, add metadata to it and upload to Flickr. FlickrPix not only helps you share your pics, it also allows you to explore Flickr photos shared by you, your friends or the world. Just swipe and enjoy the slide shows in both landscape and portrait mode.

Oh, when I originally wrote this scheduled post, Quickflickr was not yet at Ovi Store, but @d_ptr (via @alextootchie) tweeted that QuickFlickr’s now in Ovi Store too! And you can get it for £1. This is for N9/MeeGo-Harmattan. There may be a free lite version.

“QuickFlickr is a Flickr client for N9. You can easily browse photos from your contacts, your own and contacts’ photostream, watch and add comments to photos, add favorites and check the recent activity of your photos. In addition to all this, QuickFlickr provides a great user experience to use Flickr.”

  • Recent uploads from your contacts
  • Recent activity (favorites, comments, views) of your photos
  • Photostreams of your own photos and your contacts  photos
  • Detailed full-screen view of your photos
  • Commenting photos
  • Adding and removing favorites
  • Favorites view
  • Contact lists
  • Support for videos
  • Multitouch pinch zoom for fullscreen images
  • Portrait mode for standard use
  • Landscape i.e. viewer mode
  • More features will be added soon!

Now just need a N9 to try this out :p I believe this was first shown on N8 so a Qt Symbian version may appear?
