Nokia 700 listed at MobileFun UK for £279.95
I got an email from the MobileFun folks that they have the Nokia 700 listed at £279.95.
They have both the “Cool Grey” and “Silver White” versions.
As for availability, that’s not yet known but it should be some time in September as Nokia has previously mentioned availability this month.

That is a bit expensive. Price needs to drop. You can get a HTC Desire for about 299 on the same website.
You have to be joking. HTC desire? That phone is like 1,5-2 years old, it should be even lower

Well that was an example. FWIW, you can get an N8 on the same website for 299, C7 for 250 and a C6-01 for 230. The 700 needs to drop to around 230 or lower for it to make sense.
As for HTC desire, it is an old phone no doubt but still vastly better than the 700 for most people.
Well, if you can get the N8 for 299, it makes sense to drop the price on the 700. Still, this is an “not-even-released-yet” price which will eventually drop.
That’s ridiculous. The pricing is just right, and the HTC Desire is sh*t. I would never, ever change Symbian Belle for HTC’s Sense!

Why i have to buy expensive low spec device?
Nokia have drop their price and launch more high spec device like sgs2 or iphone.
Although im nokia fan, i will not spend my money for awful device.
Last, fuck EDoF. I hate it. I think nokia is crazy. Even my 5800 can also do Auto focus idiot nokia.

The mobileindian reports the following prices (approx)
Nokia 600 – Rs. 11,800 i.e. 181.8 Euro
Nokia 700 – Rs. 17,200 i.e. 265.1 Euro
Nokia 701 – Rs. 19,000 i.e. 292.8 Euro
though it might not be entirely correct but gives an approximation

One more thing…i spoke to a Nokia Representative today & he said the belle handsets are gonna arive around mid-october in India.
a symbian belle device with a 8mp af cam is required
bt dear jill those indian prices are before taxes here so it will be 280 euros as on mobilefun of nokia 700.
I dont think there is anything like before after taxes .. prices are inclusive of taxes
nokia 600 and nokia 701 are well priced… but i think nokia 700 is a bit expensive as per its features .. it should not be more than rs 16000
Some says get htc desire but i think nokia is nokia (best hardware than other mobiles)
Don’t forget the huge graphic card in it !

Does this mean we can expect other devices within the 700 range to be around this price i.e. the 7xx Windows Phone.
It seems NOKIA has once again gone nuts and overconfident over two recent terms… “1 GHz” and “Belle”. It will ruin its business and image by offinsively pricing the new products. No wonder, I have again started thinking of other brands….
