Video: Tank Shoot – (Classic Nintendo Battle City for Nokia S60 3rd Edition)

| September 13, 2011 | 20 Replies

Do you remember the super classic tank shooting game called Nintendo Battle City? Some of our readers may be too young to have played this but it’s a fun tank shooting game. You (and sometimes a player 2) go out to battle the CPU tanks. Some of the surroundings are shootable, some are impassable (water) some sort of hide your tank and there are stones too (that only the bigger tanks can break). Your tank can get power ups to improve your tank. Your flag must not be shot.

A developer named Nalin emailed us (fortunately twice it seems as we’re getting so much mails now, I’m unfortunately missing a lot of them).

Here are a couple of Ovi Store link pages. One is free and the other is paid.

Thanks Noni… N8 version is coming soon– but only if Nokia doesnt kill symbian before we release N8 version.

If you want; we can send you beta-version of TankShoot which will run on N8 for free.

Just drop a comment on our facebook page OR email me– and I will reply you with a link to our N8 version of TankShoot (atleast for Noni-Khanna while it is in beta– and possibly for others too till some time).

someone should port a NES emu to S^3

    • Nalin S says:

      hey Slayer…
as a test/experiment, I have atleast personally ported the NES emulator to Maemo / Meego operating system– tested on N900; but have not yet released it publicly as it is not commercial.

do you have N9 ? I could send you a build to install and try out on your n900.

  6. Berry says:

Make a new version for N9. Multiplayer match making with NFC…and several phones could also make screen bigger; Players could build mazes out of their phones, that would work as a bigger shape shifting screen.
