We already updated the last post with their review video but this one is in English.
- It’s interesting that they mention that this is an operating system for dummies, “meaning everything is simplified”. If you remember, Marko Ahtisaari boldy said that he knew Nokia had out-simplified the iPhone.
- They also tested out multitasking which had no problems handling 36 apps at the same time. No crashes, no nothing.
- All in all – very happy about it. Very happy using it.
- So good and so well made – imagine it would last 2 days of constant use. Doesn’t seem to have any drawbacks in terms of hard usage.
- Being a Nokia, it should do its main business, make and receive calls properly. Speaker is exquisite, sound very good. Receiver end also extremely good.
- Phone they have enjoyed using all these days.
- Latest pricing, 599/699EUR for 16/64GB.

*However*…imagine all the good points about MeeGo in future S40, future Symbian, future disruption (apparently MeeGo based), well then Nokia comes back and kicks iPhone’s and Android’s arses.
And yes you might possibly see some of the good things about MeeGo in WinPho, if Microsoft decides to allow a few bits of it through.
Give me the MeeGo interface over WinPho tiles any day though…

It was released in Switzerland 3 days ago… got mine delivered to my door first thing on the morning on tuesday.
I have to say, it has a beautiful design. Brilliant OS, really. If you have any doubts, try and get your hands on it. You’ll soon realize it’s an awesome piece of work. As fluid as iOS (seeing everyone compares fluidity to apple’s OS). Handles multi-tasking brilliantly. The screen is gorgeous, and the fact it doesn’t have a dedicated camera button doesn’t bother at all. Photos still look sharp and crisp. It’s classic Nokia. 8MP with Carl Zeiss optics. You can’t go wrong trust me.
I paid my 16GB black version 650 Swiss Francs = around 530€.
It’s worth every cent.
If you want an innovative OS, no hassle, fluid performance, high-end design hardware AND software then get this phone. If lack of 300k + apps is a problem for you, then stick with Android or iOS.
I have had Symbian phones, iOS and Android phones. From a personal point of view, MeeGo is at LEAST as good as these. But then again, it’s my point of view.

I am sad to see what Nokia has become. I have been using nokia phones for more than 10 years now. Last year I upgraded to E5. I feel its a worthless piece of crap. Didnt expect Nokia to become so bad. If I have just one app running (say the music player on pause) and I shoot a video, the whole video has freezes and jerks. I need to close every single app before i shoot a video to get a reasonably good quality video.
What did you expect?! Video recording is a very heavy task. No phone can multi-task while recording a video.
Hell, even a PC can’t. Have you ever tried multi-tasking while encoding a video on your computer?
In Denmark you can order it form Telia and 3, delivery on the 30th of September. the price is around 700 euros. However you can get it with different data and talk time plans. By doing this you save some on the phone and you “only” pay 562 euros for the phone. So if you have a talk time/data plan anyway then 562 euros is the price that you end up paying for the phone.

Would love to hear how it handles PIM and how reliable the email is. This was my main gripe w/ Symbian. It just wasn’t good enough in this department.

Yes since the nokia store is not yet open for the N9 and I guess they don’t know were the repositories are they had to use what was in the phone by default, only 30 something apps

no, symbian its not real multitasking compare too n9 meego harmattan it just similiar when u caching browes, most( all ) games and some apps are pause during task switcher or when u minimize it.
For example open browser at 4shared.com when in countdown and u minimize u will see the timer pause.
All games are pause, n9 doesnt, watch video and minimize it symbian will pause it mean while n9 keep playing video using kmplayer, and n9 best mulitasking ever, with live dashboard, anyway i had tested to run 45 apps include games, with no lag
err, symbian can play video in the background.
