The amazingness of N8’s camera (for video)

I had always originally planned on recording videos with the N8 and pictures with my Canon 60D. However, I thought I’d want samples in 1080p.

However, my 60D is:

  • Huge
  • Heavy
  • No continuous autofocus
This means it’s quite a pain recording videos of phones, where during a demo they can constantly move in and our of the 60D’s depth of field.
Today, I tried the N8 (for some post later) and it’s incredible. The continuous autofocus is fast, accurate and when in locked, the videos as you know look amazing. Also being light, I don’t strain my arm and cam hold it and move it around to see different angles.
Whilst other things in Anna are becoming harder to use (as I become more dependent on having FAST, FLUID, LAG FREE user interfaces) the N8’s camera will still triumphantly shine as a ground breaker for Nokia in imaging.
Internet is unfortunately too slow to show you, but the rest of my demoes from today will be recorded on the N8. (Oh battery life is better too, since not eating 1080p type space and processing). This is why I cannot wait to have Symbian Belle on it. Playing with the new Belle devices for the first time, I have much less in the way of frustrations in basic navigation of the phone’s UI.
