Nokia Drive is NOT going to be available on to other WP OEMs

A couple of days ago there were some rumours we didn’t post on about Nokia Drive becoming a paid app for other platforms.

Whilst that would have given some revenue to Nokia, that kind of loses the edge for the current Nokia Lumia’s having that full fledged sat-nav on the go. (Well, it depends on what it would be priced like too.

Anyway, Mark Squires, UK Head of communications said:

Folk’s Nokia Drive will not be made available for other WP OEMs. It comes on our Lumia range and there are currently no plans to change that

Nokia Drive is really good -partnered with stellar Nokia GPS systems for quick and stable lock, it has given Nokia a great reputation in mobile navigation systems. Whilst Nokia Maps and Music have been ripped to non Nokia WP, Microsoft will be implementing anti-piracy when majority of users have upgraded to Mango.
