My Dream Nokia #35: Nokia 900 – MeeGo Harmattan 2 concept
As we mentioned earlier this morning, there was another My Dream Nokia to be posted today, this one with MeeGo Harmattan goodness in mind.
This is another Mohammed Shihuzaan design and you can see this swooping inwardly curvy concave screen that when stood up, resembles the majestic head of the King Cobra or even perhaps some sails.
Specs wise, it’s highly desirable of the 9XX league though quite realistic too.
The proposed specs are as follows:
- Meego Harmattan 2
- Clear black FOLED 4″ display (1280×720 pixel resolution at 315ppi)
- Curved Gorilla Glass.
- Dual core 1.4 Ghz + GPU
- 14 mp carl zeiss.Auto Focus, Xenon flash, super wide 28mm lens ,1024p HD video (@ 30fps)
- FFC- 2mp VGA
- 16- 64 GB ($540-$600)
- Dolby Headphone and Dolby Digital Plus built-in
- HDMI
- Bluetooth v4, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, GPS, accelerometer and digital compass
- 512mb ROM, 1GB RAM
- Stereo FM radio with RDS
- FM Transmitter
- Li-Ion 1450mAh Standard Battery
- Alien Dalvik emulator
Anything missing? Some pretty mouthwatering stuff there – and none really that’s out of reach.

obviously MeeGo wp7 don’t deserve this design.
I want a flock of Harmattan 2 phones.
-A camera model
-Keyboard model
-Cheap basic model
-Expensive all-in-1 -model
And same processor, gpu and ram in every model to make sure that software market is fertile, and perhaps shockingly big battery to compete with Android in that respect with functionality instead of price.(I mean, that Nokias phones have impressive battery life, but they turn it into profit by using smaller batteries instead of making appreciably longer lasting phones).
Perhaps one more try at cutting edge, instead of having bad press from using year or two old processors, which discourages people who want games and other ambitious software.
This phone will be released in celebration of Elop’s on duty death

It should use “Maemo6x+”, not freaking MeeGo.
Why do people continue to use that sullied/stigmatized name.

In answer to Jay’s Qn, it should be Maemo6x.
But it’s not going to happen, so I for one welcome our new WP overlord.
Yeah, can’t believe how everyone got behind MeeGo so quickly.
Maemo is gone. Meego is history. Nemo may be?
The ROM is lacking, only 512MB, I mean 1 GB should be minimum, and above 1GB ROM for mouthwatering. Similarly for the RAM, I would like to see 1.5GB or more to be labeled as mouthwatering. I would also love be able to see NFC built in and maybe a sound chip processor like x-fi from creative that can revitalize music and make everything sound great. Also speaking of RAM, noone ever mentions the technology of RAM or the type of RAM that is used in cell phones, but I would like a better technology RAM that is faster and runs on higher frequencies and is more efficient as well.
Kind of GPU is not mentioned, but would like the best and greatest that is feasible to be put into this.
Seems really nice, Meego for sure, but why “only” 30fps ? I don’t really see the point of having a 14megapixel camera on it. 12 is by all means enough. It just needs to be a really good 12megapixel camera, like the N8 but with even better hardware/optics not really more pixels, because it’s not really about the amount of pixels. The video should be upped to something like 40 or 45fps to be clearly better than other phones.
Props for this. People often don’t understand this. We need better quality optics than megapixels. Even 8mp should be sufficient. But better optics than the N8 would be more than welcome. Also, they should make it to shoot 60fps in its highest resolution and more fps in lesser resolutions.
I Would like the glass to be convex instead of concave. Also 1.2 duo core instead of 1.4ghz.
Battery only 1450mAH, NOT enough! At least 2000mAH for dual core processor.
First, I don’t see much of a use for dual-core processor. All we need is an efficient single core processor (with the latest fabrication and techniques applied). But, any improvements (technology or capacity) in battery are welcome. 1450 is less to start with.
IR is missing and I want one in my phone. There are a lot of things that an IR in a phone can be used for.
