Taking quite a shock in the comments, this Nokia video showing an iPad is actually there to demo Nokia’s Mobile Maps that’s available on iOS and Android. Hey at least it’s not the iPhone. It works quite well.

Wiebke Hurrelmann from Mobile Web Maps team talks about Nokia Maps on iOS and Android. More info on the Nokia Maps Blog

Next up is a Nokia product through and through – Nokia Maps for S40. s40 maps doesn’t use GPS but it can still determine where you are using cell towers can get you to an accuracy of 100 metres or less. That’s not bad for no GPS. I’d say S40 tap, tap navigation is about as useful as the first iteration of Maps on Windows Phone 7, though the latter has higher expectations and so that experience was crap for me. Yay for Nokia Maps.

In this video, Erik Schmidt from Nokia S40 maps team demos the service and explains how it works. Find out more on the Nokia Maps Blog:http://nokia.ly/tRw2x1
