Nokia Lumia gaining momentum in Google Trends? Lumia, Lumia, Lumia!

Ah very quickly…Antti emailed suggesting we should check out the Google Trends data for the Nokia Lumia.

Note, that before Lumia was announced, no one knew to expect such a thing so understandable there would be no mention of it.

However, some analysts took it upon themselves to judge the 6 days after where the Lumia name started declining and from that took the wise conclusion that Nokia Lumia will fail.

Well, that’s just google trends data. If we look at sales, it’s doing really well. Great enough to be out of stock in certain orange stores in UK, great enough to be on the top popularity list at Vodafone UK, great enough to outsell iPhone 4S for KPN Netherlands, great enough to be top of the sales for Phone House France as well as most used in app index above all other WP.

But if we were to look at Lumia on Google Trends what would we see? Just looking at the graph it suggests growing momentum, back to the level at initial launch.

That’s not bad, right? And it’s still not even a month from being available and really only at those 6 initial countries. What happens when it’s available worldwide?

Great stuff, Nokia and Nokia fans 🙂 Let’s hope the trend keeps going upwards. This is merely the tip of the iceberg. There’s so much more to come. That will hopefully have that halo effect on other Nokia products once again (as Nseries once had on the numbered products).
