Nokia 808 PureView at GSM Store, Finland?

Timo from Symbian Suomi shares that the Nokia 808 PureView appears to be available in Finland. Well at least from a place called GSM-Store.

I was at the Nokia Flagship Store in Finland this afternoon (lol, saying this still sounds unreal to me and realising that zomg I’m in the home of freakin Nokia! I guess I should sleep but my flight is in a few hours so there’s no point) and staff were getting training about the 808 PureView. There was some mention of availability at certain countries but we were advised it wasn’t anything they should be quoted on just in case.

Price here may not actually reflect the actual Nokia Store price. Although having said that, I’ve heard from several peeps that Nokia phones are generally more expensive in Finland.

Cheers Timo for the tip!

The 808 is officially out in Singapore, just nicely coinciding with our trimonthly tech exhibitions. It’s quite interesting to note that it’s the most expensive model (SGD$838) in the entire listing of Nokia’s advert in the papers, even surpassing the Lumia 900 (SGD$588 – I think); and yet the 808 gets a tiny spot right at the bottom corner (beneath all the Asha phones) while the 900 gets its usual big feature on the upper half of the advert.

Just to add that the 808 is SGD$448 with a 2 year contract – I find that quite expensive.

Colour me surprised on that one… :-/
Not even coming to my country….

At least distribution does seem to be starting-off way more aggressively than it was for the N9.
Still early days ofc, it may not get much better than the 80-odd countries it’s already earmarked for.

you can get a Pureview 808 for about SG$720 if you shop around … I got mine from sgbest for $740

The Lumias are discounted everywhere .. and still people won’t buy!
I would much rather have N9 than Lumia 800 or 900

I dont really get Nokias strategy lately. I live in the usa and would give anything to have this phone this week, but nokia restricts what countries and markets will get what phone. Im begging them ti take my money and they wont even take it. Heck, i spent 700 usd on the junk n97 and i still have faith in the company. Looks like i will be watching ebay.

To be fair, most manufacturers have staggered global launches, instead of immediate availability everywhere.

I do get that the N9 was a bit of special case for Nokia for Lumia reasons, but I don’t see that with the 808.

We’re just waiting for them to gear up. :)

I called GSM -store and they don’t have 808 in stock. At Nokia Aleksanterinkatu they said that they will get 808 12th of june.

GSM-store page says that it is for pre-order for next week (wk 24).

The price has dropped to 645€ and there is also the white one available:
