Video Shootout: Apple iPhone 4S vs. Samsung Galaxy S III vs. Nokia 808 PureView vs. HTC One X
In this video, PocketNow compares the iPhone 4S, the SGSIII, the Nokia 808 PureView and HTC OneX.
Whilst the 808 has already been pronounced in reviews as heads above all the competition for both videos and stills (including blind shoot outs against dedicated cameras to reduce/remove brand bias), it’s still interesting to see reactions from the public.
Looking at the comments, you can see them crowning the SGSIII. Note that the 808′s audio is being used for all the samples. A little unfair given how relatively s**t the sound is from the competing devices.
What they’re loving about the SGSIII seems to be the obnoxious colours. (Note we’re just talking about video quality here, not the rest of the device, which, credit where credit is due, SGSIII is a lovely smartphone)
HTC’s come a long way but looks terrible in comparison. It’s amazing that some of their ads focus on the camera when it’s not all that. In contrast, the best camera phone in the world and where are Nokia’s adverts? No where. Because Nokia doesn’t advertise things they’re good at.

lol, nokia really is not advertising its camera phone.. i think they are going to advertise the pureview in wp8 so more people will choose wp8 over 808??
I doubt they’ll do that either. The ads for Lumia. Where have they disappeared to? Did they ever actually promote the unique Nokia stuff like drive? No. Why? Because Nokia’s advertising sucks and year after year they will FAIL to understand how to do their job.
ya but after elop entering the nokia, advertisement is increasing gradually.. and nokia drive and maps advertisement, i can see them in tv but not highly and for now why they are not advertising as before???? because simply they cant due to wp7.8 and 2nd gen devices not geting wp8, so even they advertise that’s usesless and costs them more money(at present situation they are very low of money)… so i think they will start advertise again fully and everything(pure view, maps, tatoo?,3d maps?, flexible display?, super hydrophobic? Dono just guessing from what they are havin ) when they introduce wp8, so it will get more popularity and it will be no waste of money and again why are they not advertising 808 because every one buys 808 after that when lumia pv comes everyone will sue nokia for buying 808, a dead platform… so they are just trying to be neutral

lol, i, u and everyone knows that nokia are best in advertising like 3d/4d projections, we havent seen any oem’s doing that, but why aren’t they advertising pureview and some now? God and wait elop knows why..
I agree, the SGS3 colours were just wrong and the HTC was even worse..As usual the IP looks washed out.. The 808 still looks best to me..
1 thing i was hoping was that we could play our mp3 files while recording so if we were to do a shoot with no sound we wouldn’t have to mix a track into it ourselves but have it recorded
I bet when a pureview Wp nokia comes out nokia market the shit out of that device and just ignore the 808. Simply put nokia dont want anything to do with symbian even if it has the mother of all cameras
