Lumiappaday #249: Airbus demoed on the Nokia Lumia 900

| July 21, 2012 | 5 Replies

This app is all about Airbus planes. As a kid I absolutely adored planes (Boeing 747!) and still somewhat deeply fascinated by them when I’m travelling by air.

This app, Airbus, presents the Airbus fleet quite nicely, providing a wide range of information on each Airbus model.

This is the kind of stuff I wish Symbian and Meego had. Android, iOS and now WP users take it for granted, but it’s informative apps like these that really extend a smartphone’s functionality. Imagine a workout tracker, medical conditions database or a pharmaceutical database…

Before you say “Use the web browser!” it’s a lot more convenient to run an app which uses the platform’s native touch interface and stores data offline. Is there a quick method on any platform to create these apps?
