Video: Firestarter – Amazon Cloud Reader support for the Nokia N9 and N950
This is a useful app, an Amazon Cloud reader for the Nokia N9.
Firestarter makes it possible to use Amazon’s Cloud Reader service under MeeGo. You can either read books online, or download them for reading offline (although you must be online when starting the application). Your progress in a book is kept synchronised between your N9 and other Kindle devices.

Michael: Update: Many of you are asking where to get the app. It is currently undergoing Nokia Store Q&A, so it should be available soon. I’ll do my best to try and post it on here as soon as it does.

Thanks Jay,
But you don’t link to project/dev home page?
Okay so it hasn’t passed QA, but surely you could still link to a project page at maemo.org or elsewhere? TIA.
@MyNokiaBlog
Here is the section for this app on the devs site:
http://meego.mikeasoft.com/firestarter/
He will do a detailed blog post or start a thread at TMO ONCE the app appears at the Nokia Store.
These are his other MeeGo apps

nokia belle support?
I’ve been working on Nokia Belle support, and now have everything mostly working. It still needs a bit of polish, but it certainly seems achievable.
Here are a couple of screenshots of it running on a Nokia 808:

@Mike
N9/950 still the priority I hope?
Symbian has always had far more love from Nokia over the yrs (& still does in many ways) than Maemo 5/6.
Don’t worry, MeeGo is still my main mobile development platform. However for this particular app I was able to share most of the core codebase between the MeeGo version and the Symbian version, which is why I was able to make a Symbian port so quickly (despite not having worked with Symbian since it was EPOC32…) So most future improvements will happen in both versions simultaneously
.
Interesting, thanks for the feedback mate, tis appreciated!
Where is the App?
According to the Video it should be available in the Store ‘soon’
Cool! Where can I get the app?
Excellent! Let’s hope Nokia QA get their finger out and get this great-looking app up in the Store quickly. Looking forward to reading my Kindle books on my N9!
can we upload .prc file to the server and start reading?
meaning?
It’s now available in the Nokia Ovi store: http://store.ovi.com/content/307241
Thanks for letting us know Mike!
Might be best emailing tips[at]mynokiablog or jay[at]mynokiblog or contacting them via twitter.
That way they’re much more likely to canvass the app soon.
@Mike
Make sure you also post about it at: N9-apps, My-MeeGo, talk.maemo.org etc.
If you intend to offer it for free, you can also list it at apps.formeego.org.
