Lumiappaday #281: Battleship demoed on the Nokia Lumia 900 #XboxLive

| August 23, 2012 | 2 Replies

This is Battleship from EA Games. It’s the classic boardgame with a little splash of animation kicked in. Still as fun as ever. There’s a couple of modes I didn’t get the chance to look at: Salvo mode and Superweapon mode – those are available in the full version.

#281) Battleship

I have this game, it’s alot of fun.
Salvo mode is pretty cool, allows you to drop 5 bombs at a clip, speeding up the game. (shooting 1 at a time gets old quick).

Main drawback, sometimes when you play the computer they hit you, and it doesn’t register.

I also feel like the computer cheats, how it’s possible to hit 5 different boats with 5 shots all at once is beyond me. (happens way too often to be coincidence).

In all, i would say it was worth the purchase.

Hi Jay, sorry I will post a comment here about another post, in order to be readen by you quickly.

    About the : http://mynokiablog.com/2012/08/23/nokia-phi-wp8-seen-in-nokia-design-patent-mid-range-nokia-arrow-coming-too

Be careful to not getting too sure about this leak being the actual Phi device. Notice that nowhere “Phi” neither another name is mentioned in the document. This device might not be the high-end flagship.

As Janne explained us in her comments, the actuel size of the usb & jack connector shows a device sized between the Lumia 800 and 900.

    Dixit Janne :
“Headphone jack width: 6,7% (of total width)
    Micro-USB width: 11,6%

On the Lumia 900 (measured from actual device):
    Headphone jack width: 5,89%
    Micro-USB width: 10,3%

Smaller percentages mean bigger device in this case.”

    Definitely not a 4.7″ screen. More of an 4 – 4.3″.

Let me know if you agree with us.
