High Fashion Photography with the Nokia 808 PureView
Well, well. We’ve seen a glimpse of the 808 doing some fashion photography before but I was blown away by these professional high fashion shots. Regardless of camera (whether professional grade or 808), shots like these require precision lighting control and great models. I can’t wait to see the full portfolio.
A short tease to demonstrate the possibilities of shooting both Hi definition video and Photos on the Nokia Pureview 41 Megapixel Camera

808 Pureview Pro rules.. M$ Hoo**r line Lumia will have pureview lite maybe in 2013. I do love old Nokia, new Nokia will not make it in long term. M$ trolls .. dream on.. You will get PV lite.. How cool is that..
Why are you being antagonistic, Jari? This post praises the 808 but yet you have to drag and mock Lumia.
Grow up or get out.
He is 30+ years already so…

should give the 808 to those guys
808 gets a lot of attention .. and it deserves every bit of it.
Just shot my first video using my Nokia 808 PV. Check it out.. Fireworks worth 35 Euros.. Shot it abt 50 minutes ago. Sorry Jay..I am anti M$ and if its not a allowed here, I can go QRT as we say in Ham radio. I loved the photos.. Nice Pureview Pro tech.. Here is the link anyway: http://youtu.be/Q1wfsxxkDEI
MS has nothing to do with this article. Stop bringing up off topic things randomly just to stir trouble.
Being anti-something does not mean you can be disruptive and bring your offtopic hate in every thread you so desire. Were I talking about Lumia WP8 with potential of pureview, then feel free to air your frustrations there. Don’t taint a perfectly decent post about the Nokia 808. Out of your hate for MS you disrupt the non MS things yourself.
Ok, will keep my opinions on my own, wont say them here. Btw. was this the First Fireworks video here? I will only read your blog from now on.. Sorry for any inconvenience. It will not happen again. All of us will be happy when not hearing anti M$$ comments..
Are you even reading what I’m writing to you?
I just asked for you to keep your comments on topic and polite.
This post is about the Nokia 808 PureView. Not Lumia.
There are plenty of other posts there for you to complain about Lumia if you want to. Why bring it up in this thread?
Oh please, grow up will you and stop twisting what I’m saying. :p Come on Jari, you’re better than this. My point is not about you being anti MS. Go be anti MS in a more appropriate post. My point is you being disruptive in a post about the 808.
Thank you however for exercising restraint in your future comments.
Ok..It seems some M$ lovers saw my video.. One Thumbs down, only with 9 viewers, I am really looking forward to see the same kind of recording made with M$ phone.. Upload it please!
You really are a bitter little bunny aren’t you?
Nokia have really done themselves proud with this tech, I really hope it pushes them ahead in the smartphone game. I also hope the masses won’t have to wait too long for this on a Lumia, because if this week’s court ruling says anything, Samsung will have their own (read: copied) amazing camera tech out before Nokia, and that would suck. And I say “masses” because Nokia are (closed-mindedly imo) not advertising this superb beast anywhere. Or are they?
I just got the 808 tripod holder ordered. I think using the 808 requires classes. Sometimes I go for a shot and I realize the sun is in the wrong position because of shadows. It sure makes you want to plan ahead using something this good. Before good enough was o.k.,but now…
I don’t like the way Sheliz Wanbui’s right arm looks in her second pic..
Wow! I reallly thought it was supermodel Alek Wek http://www.google.com.ph/search?q=alek+wek&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=imvnso&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=Trs5UJW9DavJmQXZsYHoCQ&sqi=2&ved=0CCcQsAQ&biw=1920&bih=947
I’ve always fantasized about the 808 PureView being used by Steven Meisel to shoot Daria Werbowy for Italian Vogue with the approval of Franca Sozzani, of course.
That would take the PureView brand to a higher awareness among fashion people. Vogue Italia is known for being over-the-top and non-traditional like US Vogue. This should be a fish-slap-on-the-face to those photographers who still think the 41MP is only for billboard-sized prints. Duh.
I really get mad thinking why Nokia didn’t put any effort to advertise on TV the PureView to educate people and let them know that something this special actually exists. I have a feeling only those who regularly check tech news have heard about the PureView. Even the local Nokia stores here in the Philippines don’t have a single poster/dummy phone of the 808.
When I bought my Nokia 808, it felt like we were having an illegal drug transaction (I don’t do drugs, btw. It’s so not cool and damages the skin) lol and and the salesladies were even shocked when I asked them if they already have the 808 PureView as if they can’t believe that a person outside the company would ever hear about this incredible smartphone.
Anyways, after the initial shock, it finally dawned upon them that there is indeed a guy standing in front of them asking about the elusive PureView phone. The two girls led me to the VIP-like area at Nokia and had me to sit down and wait while they went into the deepest part of the store to unearth a box of the very rare white Nokia 808 PureView.
I said it was rare because after 2 months of having this phone, I never saw a person here in our city with a Nokia 808!
Well at least I could say I’m using a phone so special that only 1 person in every city owns one lol. And I’m that lucky guy.
aside from my student, who was inspired by me
i saw not a single soul with anothr n9,
also when i went to manila to take a loot at the lumias, 900, 800, 710, and 600. the n9 was stacked together with nokia’s endless array of cheap phones. where as the lumias occupy the center of the store. it stinged so much but yeah, i somewhat expected that from nokia to treat non wp phones that way
To JG & buzzinga: The 808 has not been advertised a single time here in Finland, It was very difficult to buy one here. Some promoting for N9, but nothing for 808 in Nokia country.. it is all about M$ crap nowadays. Nice to know, JG you own 808, N9 is my main phone, but Love the 808 Belle FP1.. it has some features my N9 does not have.. Both the best from Nokia so far. Enjoy your Original Nokia phones
I kno just the feel bro I was the third person in the Nokia store to buy the PureView even after it was on sale for more than two Weeks and now after around two months I haven’t seen a single person in the town with this ingenious piece of technology feels like i’m using a rare edition of a rare piece of technology
