Video: Joe Belfiore on the Nokia Lumia 920 and Windows Phone 8 – still calls UI Metro.
Here’s Joe Belfiore talking about the Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 device. I like Joe but I wish they spent more time talking about the PureView Floating lens stuff than showing us how to change tiles which they demoed already in June.
It’s interesting that he still calls it ‘Metro UI’ since MS had to stop using that, no? It would be nice if we could keep calling it Metro but for litigation avoidance.
Belfiore calls the Nokia Lumia 920 a work of art.

I want to stab this guy in the eye with a resizable tile, I almost fell asleep with him going on and on about his resizable tiles…
Poor joe.
Well I was thinking, “please stop…you’re just giving naysayers more ammo if this is what you’re going to demo”
I can’t believe he tried to talk about screenshots for so long. Yeah it’s there, no fuss. It’s not a biggie. Unless they did something special to it, stop talking about it for so long.
They did show some nice stuff, but they seemed to concentrate on some very boring stuff.
Screenshot was fine, it was 15 seconds, not 10 damn minutes talking about how tiles come in THREE sizes!!! THREE!!!!! Ughhhhhh during the live hangout all 4 of us were just sitting there waiting for him to shut up!
Its alright Aliqudsi. We get it. No matter how much hoo-haa you make here’n'there & everywhere but deep in the heart you, too, are terribly disappointed. Just like rest of us. But it doesn’t mean you should unleash you wrath & frustration on poor Joe Belfiore. You can either calm down or go after the real bunch of morons who have made you today look like a lunatic moron jumping up every time someone tries to take pants off of your Sugar Daddy aka We-all-know-Who. Still don’t get it? Well His Royal High-Screw-ness, Sir Steve E-Lope, the Dumbest MoFo Ever lived!
Did you guys get the feeling I did, that they probably had planned to ‘unveil everything’, but that Microsoft really is not (even close to be?) ready yet? I heard from a Nokia guy that even they don’t know when Wp8 is going to be released. Microsoft haven’t told them yet!
I guess Elop and some other people might know, but it starting to feel like MS are late with WP8… I’m a little bit worried, but it would still be ok if the phones are released early november at the latest.
But But, it was for all you bloggers out there. There is always something else to complain about
The fact of the matter is that Microsoft and WP is looking more and more like a failure. if you spend 10 min on the tiles something is wrong. This dos not look good for Nokia….
No WP8 reveal.
