Another low-end WP8, Nokia Lumia Flame?

I thought I had already written about this but I mistook the mid Nokia Zeal for the Nokia Flame.

The Nokia Lumia Flame appears to a low end phone, something TheVerge suspects to be a replacement for the Nokia Lumia 710.

The Flame is said to have 1GHz Dual Core, 5MP camera, 4GB storage, 512MB RAM. Identical to the Nokia Zeal, also with 4″ screen except half the storage.

Both Nokia Lumia 710 and 800 whilst priced differently had identical processing power (different on design/camera). You might say the same about the 900 too (bigger screen, compass, front camera).

The new WP8 devices seem to have more clear cut differences with the top end device with the 920 edging out on Dual Core 1.5GHz S4 chips, 1GB RAM and having actual distinct pieces of interesting technology such as PureMotion HD+, Wireless charging and PureView 2 with floating lens.

Hopefully the low end devices will be priced adequately. At the moment we have heard that this is working for the 610. Price over total features/total user experience was why my housemate got a 610 over an Ace and BlackBerry.

Cheers rishabh and viipottaja for the tip!

for me the 820 is the replacement for the 710, and the 920 replacment for the 800 and 900(it replaces 2 phones because the smaller size high end flagship is on the way out in the tech world).this could be either a replacement for the 610,or a entirely new device at a different price point. i hope they diversify the offer this coming year with more than just 3 lumias

low end phone with dual core?? it can’t compete in price with android ICS devices (can run on single core 800 MHz)

The only android phones, that I am aware of, with the specification you mention are running 320 x 480.

My Nexus S ran very badly on ICS (but runs OK on JB)

I would like to see a device with all 920-tech but 4″ display.

Me too! And with PureView 808-style, right? But we won’t see a phone like that in a long time I’m afraid (if ever). I’m waiting to replace my N8, the question is how long I should wait. The perfect phone is never coming.

      • Paul says:

Personally I like the N8 style more than the one of the 808.

For replacement of the N8 I would wait for real photos and videos of the 920 done by normal users in their daily life. Orgo for 808. Or for what will unveiled during MWC 2013 and sold from summer 2013 on…
