Nokia Lumia 920 samples gallery
There’s a gallery of Nokia Lumia 920 shots available over at Flickr. They’re marked as 920 proto.
Low light looks quite good.
The shots people are interested in is bright sunny days. How does it fare?
It seems you can take fast action shots without much problem.
This reminds me that you should check out that Engadget zip file of full res images if you haven’t already. I saw it when the post was published but it had reached the max download limit. I think that’s the original source for most of the images.
Cheers Vignesh for the tip!

I know it’s off topic and some how trolly but i was too frustrated not to share this
http://betalabs.nokia.com/trials/nokia-city-lens/?ns=true
City lens for Symbian has been discontinued, No 808 support EVER .
Good Job Nokia way to support all of your old products N8 gets city lens your new premium priced 808 doesn’t .
Damn idiots don’t know anything about PR management, N97 Crisis , Symbian Crisis , WP7 Crisis … Whats next?
i agree.. Nokia should be ashamed of themselves for this
Is City Scene the same as City Lens or different?
They are different. 2 different app.
Don’t you understand that Nokia doesn’t want you to buy Symbian phone? Elop does everything to show that Windows Phone is selling better. It’s his “be or not to be”, his personal problem. He don’t care about Symbian and it’s users. He wants to show that Windows Phone is the only one that is good and City Lens is something that can’t be working well on Symbian.
N9 is my last device from Nokia.
Maybe Nokia is forced to focus.
Its ok for me…city lens sucks…too artificial…I will give a nice slap on the back of head if I find anyone using it near me…but ya its because Elop doesn’t want you to buy Symbian and if you own one he wants u to change to WP…too cheeky and ambitious move with such a useless feature…
No exif data present.
Try the non-marketing pictures:

here is how my iphone 5 did against the 808 .. something tells me, the 920 won’t be much better than the 5 when it comes to detail/noise, but we shall see.
808: http://s2.ipicture.ru/uploads/20120929/TzPU15Ur.jpg
iphone 5: http://s2.ipicture.ru/uploads/20120929/6JTNR6Us.jpg
and then, 10 mins later, it got darker, and the iphone freaked out .. ISO 2000+, but since there is no way to manually set that, you are stuck with what you get, and in this case, unusable image.

now.. I am waiting for the 920
but from what I see in that gallery, its exactly what I expected, no bueno.
I’m probably most interested in how it does in regards to motion blur so thats a good sign.
Honestly… Aside from the fact that it looks like the exposure has been jacked up as an automatic feature in low light, I’m really not impressed with these images. Oh, they’re better than the results of the competition, and they look great downsized to 488 x 274, but all this talk about OIS I think is a little overblown, and I think Damian has it somewhat wrong. Yes, you don’t need 41MP’s to have a great camera BUT in this case of low light imagery, having the OIS AND a massive sensor would yield a truly amazing camera. I saw two or three images that looked really good, and all the majority of the rest had the same motion blur in them albeit at different levels. If you’re a professional sniper you’ll be able to snap really good night shots, but an average Joe will still produce images that look like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/partyzane/8027691399/in/pool-2043510@N25/lightbox/
The other thing that bothers me about all this OIS is that we haven’t seen any samples in excellent lighting that can showcase how much detail the senor can pull in. Plus, I’m looking to see how well this new LED flash performs. Where are all the sample shots of that for us to see? Do I really have to wait until PhoneArena and GSMArena review this to find out whether or not this is an all around “great” camera or not?
If it sounds like I’m skeptical of the 920, it’s because I am. Ever since my N95, N97, and N8, I expect the best cameras to come from the Nokia camp, and I’m very skeptical of whether they can give me the kind of camera I want with the WP platform. The fact that xenon flash is out because of a limitation within WP8 makes me more annoyed than anything because I want Nokia to produce a true camera beast like the 808 or N8 and that’s never going to happen it looks like. It’ll be between an 808 or 920. Functionality vs. American market friendliness.
I totally agree! All I see is a blurry mess. Who cares if the images are bright if there is no detail what so over in the shots. Also they look overly bright. I prefer to have my photos the way I see the object with my own eyes. Which I guess is much much darker than this.
The boat example from the engadget comparison looked more neutral and alot better on the 808. If I want it overly bright I could just play with the levels in Photoshop. There are ALOT of detail (and a much clearer image) from the 808 hiding in the dark.
While agreeing not all the photos posted there is particularly impressive, please don’t believe the open source nutjobs when they tell you WP dont support xenon. It does.
Just found out about that as well when I was reading an article at AAWP (Link: http://allaboutwindowsphone.com/features/item/15814_Pitching_Optical_Image_Stabili.php). Too bad the way how HTC implemented it in their Mozart was not good.
Hopefully Nokia can do this in future Lumia devices.
Can you provide any proof?
someone should approve my comment.. it just link showing a direct comparo between the 808 and iPhone 5 in low light, no spam.. i promise
I just moved them all in the skydrive folder, easier to share.. there is also N8 shots for reference

I don’t find them all that good. Overly processed and blurry, you can do that in Photoshop with any other mobile camera…
Some look decent, especially the well-lit ones, and some of them look blur. Seem to fare poorly in areas with very minimal light.
Was stuned by the low light photo comparison found in the Engadget between the 8x, s3 & the 5! just freaking mad awesome
