Video: Nokia Appreciation Vlog #NameThatNokia

| October 1, 2012 | 20 Replies

This is a video of a video blogger on YouTube giving some appreciation to her Nokia that she picked up whilst in Singapore for 5 months. She notes she’s currently an iPhone user but is not enticed by the new iPhone 5 and has been looking for the current best phone (ah, if only the 920 was available :p)

Anyway, she tells a story of how she lost her phone and realised it had dropped 3 floors. She wasn’t optimistic, but lo and behold, her Nokia came out unscathed.

She notes her friend had a similar phone which broke, but she explains that her friend is more likely some magical creature.

I agree with the 2 commenters above. Posting this kind of crap into mynokiablog is hurting the credibility of this site. I realize it is “random & informal” but there’s a limit to everything. The girl didn’t even mention it was a Nokia device and I strongly feel that most dumbphones would’ve survived the incident she described. Also for a good part of the video she was praising the iPhone 4S.

There was nothing in the video that justifies posting it into mynokiablog.

Same old blah blah blah… no more interesting stuff on MNB.. I wonder what you will be blogging about when there is no more Nokia. Old Nokia phones and how they fare in toilets and drops?

See the purple haze pictures from the iPhone 5 on poweruser? Bad stuff there. Apple told the sucker who bought an iPhone 5 to just hold it differently. Seems that’s their excuse for everything.

Must be we are getting close to launch and the android boys come a calling.

Funny though, Nokia 920 killed the other phones in the Wired poll of ” which phone are you going to buy”.

      • Maybe says:

That is from spec sh*t wise…
Wonder why Elop change his strategy as he said before, phone doesn’t need multi core and spec isn’t everything.
But right now he is doing totally the opposite…
Wonder how Symbian, Belle, MaeMo and MeeGo perform with better specs…

LOL, she just said smartphone…. Well it is just a budget phone…

Nokia Belle FP2 on a Qualcomm S4 Krait with 2GB RAM like the SGSIII has?
Put it this way: Symbian would bent time with that kind of power. Lag? Pfft… What’s lag? Do that wirh a 1280×720 PureMotion HD display at 4.5″ with Rich Recording and PureView Phase 1&2, you would have THE most capable handset for a while to come. Add a debian and delvik compatibility layer and everyone would develop for it. Nokia Belle is 80% Qt, so I’d imagine most of MeeGo Harmattan’s assets would be inheritted

“cool story, babe. Make me a sandwich?”
