That’ll be perfect for symbian, but i doubt they will put that, but they should… :(

  2. KeiZka says:

I see what they did there. This and lower end Lumias in data constrained markets…?

  3. Ady says:

It seems like a great app. I installed it and I’m a bit dissapointed with the design of the app. Looks like it was made in one of those in-browser app makers.

I think it’s really about limiting White and improving blacks , Thus Amoled phones will save much more energy as they don’t consume anything in deep blacks.
The design doesn’t need to be out of the world.
Does it deliver easy to read information , if the answer is yes, then the app is a success.

Hell, the benefit of this can be seen here in the US too. With shared data plans now for Verizon and AT&T, you want to make damn sure you don’t go over. $10-15 for the 1 GB of data is an expernsive penalty.

And in the US, you must have a data plan on a subsidized smartphone plan.

I’d use Express a lot, as I’m hardly able to access Wifi.

All your apps mea nothing without a phone, what are you waiting on?

  7. Lumianer says:

The app is slow. i tried it.

I like this. Added mynokiablog and like the speed and setup for downloading mnb. This will save space on the start screen for pinned, long loading websites. A little more instruction would be helpful.

  9. twig says:

Oh this baby really is faster and text bigger. Nice layout of the magazine section, saved pages nice.

  10. Janne says:

Tried it on a couple of MNB pages and it said I used 88% less data. That is pretty major savings. Makes a lot of sense for Lumia 510 types of devices, but why not for any of us travelling to a foreign country and needing to fetch the odd page over a roaming connection. I’m keeping it installed.

I really like the way Nokia is spanning its new services from Asha to Lumia, in this case using the Xpress brand – an old Nokia brand at that.

Just tried it on my 10mb WiFi, and its unbelievably slow.

Try it on a 2G mobile connection thou, it was super fast (comparatively)
