The Verge’s Huge Nokia Lumia 920 review

| November 1, 2012 | 149 Replies

Head on over below to read Dieter Bohn’s (with contributions from Tom Warren, Josh Topolsky, and Vlad Savov ) massive Nokia Lumia 920 review. Very well written, thorough and fair I’d say.

Whilst the screen, design and camera is loved, the weight is another issue cropping up.

There’s plenty of photos and videos in The Verge’s review. I’m also really impressed by their picture samples.

The 920 scores a respectable 7.9, brought down severely by the ‘ecosystem’ category where it’s given 5/10 and strangely in reception (LTE, not calls). Otherwise, it’s 8s and 9s for Design, Display, Performance, Software and Battery life.

“However, since this is a non-weighted average, we reserve the right to tweak the overall score if we feel it doesn’t reflect our overall assessment and price of the product”

Cheers Alvester  for the heads up!

I’ve now read about a half dozen reviews of the 920 and i’ve come to only one conclusion, most reviewers are just not qualified to review devices.
How can one review praise the camera, others call it over hyped and disappointing?
Another says it’s beautiful and easy to hold, yet another says it’s ugly and slippery.

Too heavy to hold? Lol. Some websites that have praised the SG Note claim the 920 is too heavy and large, how The F is that possible?

I’m also sick and tired of hearing about the “ecosystem”, news flash people really don’t use that many apps for all that long. Last study i read said the average app was never used again after 22 days.

The lumia 920 is sure to be better than the 900 (which i very much like), so as soon as the 920 is on sale for a decent price, i’ll be getting it.

80% of Western World people are carrying 10-20 kilo’s extra under their belt all the time. And these people are now complaining about tens of grams extra weight on Lumia 920.

Wireless charging gives two significant benefits; you know where is the place of your phone and and you are sure it’s allways charged up. Stupid simple.
