Is there any chance of increasing the fonts on WP8 at all.
Again I am looking at pictures were the font size is so tiny tiny….I guess I will stay on Nokia Belle FP devices further on.
    cant stand small font sizes.
Big or huge fonts for healinres but tiny tiny fonts for information,,,just look at pictures above..

        :-)

Nice, finally it seems to be the best font size there is out there!
        I am glad.

Only thing I miss now is something like (Nokia) Situations and the probably never going to get sending sms directly from Nokia Suite..love this feature in Nokia Suite.
Of course the best call recorder in the universe, Boldbeast isnt near to be found…
Well, WP8 is narrowing my leap from Nokia 701 Belle FP2 to 920 or a little bit smaller phone sized Lumia.
I await a couple of months before taking the leap, but I think Nokia and WP8 is rather great now for what I can judge.

btw, was it you who asked for being able to paste phonenumbers to the phone dialer? it is there too now, in case you were. :)

  2. SS says:

Headlines font sizes are huge but other information font sizes are super tiny; I meant to write above.

once you enable an option in the Ease of use section , you’ll be able to pinch zoom anywhere in the OS , this much more useful I think.

  3. patata says:

OK… And where are the other customizations? Equalizer is ok but should have been there from beginning. The option for the touchscreen isn’t really a feature but a needed option.
Where is the stuff that only Nokia can add to WP?

  4. larryg968 says:

    LMAO

I love all the customizations nokia has made to WP. Im pretty no other manufacturer was able to add an equalizer

  5. rustyknight17 says:

    Hmmmm , interesting … perhaps WP8 might succeed , relatively speaking …

    • migo says:

It’ll make some small inroads for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nokia sell more than 10 million smart phones this quarter, which is the minimum they need to keep going. The drop last quarter was understandable, as long as they correct that and in general keep growing, they’ll be able to make it out.

      • rustyknight17 says:

        That and get out the 10 series Lumias , yes ! ( I mean the 1003 , 1110 , and the 1200 reported on the RDA ) .

  6. aleci says:

    Groundbreaking…

  7. Mariusmssj says:

Is it only me but does it look quite sluggish and delayed going between options? People i’ve spoken to did say that because of new NT kernel which is a desktop kernel implementation the WP has become slower in few areas

    • patata says:

There are a lot of “loading” messages indeed. On wp7 you only got them if you’ve tried to use your device before it was fully booted up or while resuming more complex apps. Wp8 seems to have them even on simple tasks as browsing the settings… Might improve with future updates, since the hardware should be fast enough.

      • patata says:

Just hope that they’ve improved the appslist in wp8. With a few more apps installed, it sometimes takes ages to load the app icons while scrolling the list.

        • Viipottaja says:

Really? Never had that problem on my L900.

As for the delays in this, is the 3.0 version already on the retail phones or is this still in beta? Anyway, as you say, I am sure they can do further optimization with updates.

  8. JGrove303 says:

Moving slower between panes doesn’t necessarily mean the hardware is being taxed by the kernel. More like when written the new OS, the decision eas made to have the transitions move at that speed. if it wad studdering or thete was lag between input and action, sure.

Kind of funny that the “music centric” 8x doesn’t have equalizer adjust, ent. Goes to show how much HTC actua put onto there devices. Couldn’t put in Sense, so said screw it.

    • patata says:

There is a difference between transitions and that “loading…” screens that can be seen in that video. This message usual only appears if WP takes a little longer to load than its transitions take ;)

  9. Bharat Justa says:

I still haven’t got updated Nokia music(with dolby sound and equalizer) on my Lumia 800.

Can anybody tell me that when will it come to India? :/

    • Bharat Justa says:

Ok! So I just saw that Nokia music is updated… But has nearly same version as before (3.5.xxx).

But it says that equalizer is only meant for Windows Phone 8. That sucks! :/

Have you people (in US) got the equaliser on 1st Gen Lumia (WP 7.5) ?
