Loud Sound Recording on Nokia Lumia 920
For those interested, here’s what loud audio recording sounds like from a Nokia Lumia 920 video clip.
The Nokia 808 PureView with it’s Rich Recording in stereo is the golden standard, putting to shame not just all other mobile phones but many other higher end/more expensive set ups. The Nokia Lumia 920 is not branded as Rich Recording but it’s no slouch. Pretty much RR but in mono.

In concert situations like this, it would be impossible to capture the stereo image anyhow. Mono should be as good as stereo in this particular purpose.
doesn’t the 920 already have 2 microphones?
It even has three according to Nokia developer documentation.

Is it possible to offer stereo recording through firmware update by Nokia in future? After all Lumia 920 has got 2 microphones.
Let’s hope so… its up to Microsoft now.
Do you know that for a fact? I.e. if Nokia can “mess”
with its camera algorithms, how do you know they can not do anything about the microphone drivers/software/algorithms/whatevertherighttermis. 
So, according to you, why they didn’t do that ?
Or, it’s Nokia’s way to not put everything into one phone..!!!

That’s nice. Now Nokia really needs to get their marketing sorted out so people know what’s going on. If people on MNB are confused about what features a phone sports, it’s worse elsewhere.
Damn.. would be pretty amazing if it has them and Nokia has not even mentioned (AFAIK) them to date. Could it be that the release FW version has not activated them yet?
That would be really depressing. The N95 had an accelerometer that was disabled in the release firmware, and that gave the iPhone an opportunity to gain traction.
The C7 had the NFC capabilities but initially not announced by Nokia.

Good, but once again 808 is better.
Yup it’s loud recording but is it rich recording?
