Amazon China Cancels Lumia 920T Pre-Orders; Incorrect Pricing to Blame

| November 13, 2012 | 3 Replies

After we reported yesterday that the Lumia 920T sold out on Amazon within 30 minutes of going live; Amazon went ahead and cancelled all the preorders. Apparently the reason behind this is that the list pricing was incorrect (which makes sense since $570 is pretty cheap for a pre-order device); Amazon sent anyone who’s order got cancelled a gift card for 30 Yaun = a Measly $4. Hopefully the interest in the Lumia was due to more than the low low price.. fingers crossed for a repeat performance.

Nokia need to price it aggressively to achieve an impressive sales figure.
At $570 there will be less profit but the user base will grow significantly which is less likely if priced more than $700.
